ArchiveOne provides an administrator with a totally intuitive interface and provides many advanced features for effectively working with data from file servers. ArchiveOne does not affect end users because the data management processes run automatically in the background.
Fully automated archiving
ArchiveOne works to its archive policy rules without operator or user intervention. Items are monitored continuously and when triggered, Archive One creates an archive copy and ensures it is committed to the archive safely.
Flexible storage management
Secure archives can be stored onto existing storage or onto dedicated devices, such as WORM drives, to meet specific regulations. They can also be managed through third party storage applications.
Search and retrieval
ArchiveOne indexes all items during the capture process. This increases search speeds and efficiency for finding data. Data can be searched for and retrieved by users, administrators or compliance officers according to permissions, either from within the product or through one of the latest search solutions such as Google Enterprise Server or Microsoft Search Server 2008.
Retention management
ArchiveOne provides critical Information Retention Management that allows organizations to meet regulatory obligations, to be prepared for eDiscovery and avoid having too much data on file servers. It stores files for regulatory requirements such as SEC, NASD, NYSE, Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO, HIPAA, BSI, Basel II and others and will aid with adherence to FRCP and Freedom of Information laws.
Reduces back-up windows
ArchiveOne reduces the storage demands on primary storage, by offloading data to a secondary storage device. This reduces the backup/restore times on the main file servers.
